Our name comes from the combination of two words. The name of our country, Greece (Ellada) and the verb (Live).The brand of Ellive The Ellive brand is inspired by the pure white dove that carries an olive branch in its beak, in the time of Noah, a symbol of Hope and Renewal of Life.

The production of pure Greek products becomes the goal of our own Life, with the one and only purpose of Ellive's liquid gold, the precious extra virgin olive oil,traveling to the ends of the Earth.

The origin of the olive is lost in the legends and traditions of the Mediterranean people. According to Greek mythology, Hercules planted the first wild olive tree in the temple of Hera, in the area of Ancient Olympiain the area of Ancient Olympia, after completing his 12 labors. Known as the "callistefanos olive", from which the kotinos was made, the wreath with which the winners of the Olympic Games were crowned. The production of olive oil is associated with Aristaeus, god of agricultural production, who invented the first olive press in the ancient world. From ancient times to the present, the olive is a cultural symbol as well as a basic element of nutrition.

We grow exclusively the Koroneiki variety. Traditional variety of Greece and considered the queen of Greek olive varieties.

Ellive's Koroneiko extra virgin olive oil differs for its unripe fruity taste that lasts, with pleasant bitterness and a spicy sensation in the throat.

Harvest

To produce high quality virgin olive oil, we harvest the fruits by hand when they are still unripe and green. At this stage, the olive gives us its juice with a rich fruity aroma while contributing to our health by maintaining the highest percentage of polyphenols and antioxidants.

Koroneiki variety

We grow exclusively the Koroneiki variety. Traditional variety of Greece and considered the queen of Greek olive varieties.

Then we store our olive oil in stainless steel tanks, with a special technology of a vacuum filling system between the surface of the olive oil and the ceiling, with inert nitrogen gas. The stainless steel Nitrogen tanks allow its natural precipitation and keep the product in excellent condition until its standardization.

The Model Modern Olive Oil Production and Standardization Unit meets the strict specifications of the IFS – International Food Standard and EN ISO.

Standardization takes place in a fully automated production unit in special bottles that preserve all the organoleptic characteristics of the olive oil, resulting in a perfect 100% natural product.
